Tom joined Marts & Lundy in 1999 after spending thirty years in higher education administration and teaching. His most recent position prior to joining the firm was as vice president for institute relations at the California Institute of Technology. He spent the first half of his career in student affairs at Iowa Wesleyan College, Albion College, and the University of Dayton. Tom served as dean of student affairs and adjunct professor of political science at Case Western Reserve University before being named vice president for development and alumni affairs.
In addition to his work with Marts & Lundy clients, Tom is an ethics fellow at the Center for Professional Ethics and senior lecturer at the Weatherhead School of Management, both at Case Western Reserve University. He teaches Social Ethics in a doctoral program at the Weatherhead School.
He is a member of the Board of Trustees at Iowa Wesleyan College, the Trinity Episcopal Cathedral of Cleveland, and Christian Legal Services of Cleveland.
