Known nationally for his expertise in strategic and facilities planning, Mr. Rose works closely with clients to formulate development strategies that include innovative funding opportunities, strategic partnerships and alliances, prototypical facilities, and collaborative resource management.

Mr. Rose helps client organizations create effective consultation and decision structures, enhance distinctive competencies, and take advantage of opportunities to achieve short and long-term goals and objectives. He is a frequent speaker at regional and national conferences, and conducts planning workshops and seminars for education, government, and corporate administrators, and Board of Trustees.

Mr. Rose is a past-president of the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP), a member of its Board of Directors for 10 years, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Association of Higher Education Facilities Officers (APPA). He was a co-founder of the Los Angeles Higher Education Roundtable, and is the author of the book Charting a New Course for Capital Renewal and articles on facilities models and trends in higher education. He is currently the Executive Editor of Planning for Higher Education, the professional journal of the Society for College and University Planning.

Mr. Rose’s distinguished career spans more than 35 years in higher education planning and administration. From 1974 to 1991, Mr. Rose was Director of Capital Planning for the University of California, Los Angeles, the largest campus in the UC system—with 35,000 students and 17 million square feet of space.
